Psalm 91: Mega Deity, Mega Religion, Mega Church, Mega Fail!!!
Psalms Part 91 of 150
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
The ‘Most High’ would be the ‘Almighty’ or they wouldn’t be the ‘Most High’, would they. If it’s the ‘secret place’ of the Most High, then it can only be he that dwells there. Logic really isn’t one of your strong suits is it?
2 I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”
I suppose if you are as stupid as you make yourself out to be, you would have an imaginary friend. I daresay you might even be better for it. Just don’t think the rest of us are like you.
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler,
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
Under his wings you will take refuge.
His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
nor of the arrow that flies by day;
6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
This is all to say that as long as you believe and trust in Gawd, that you will be forever protected. In that case I have to ask, why do so many true believers still come to harm? Where was his protection then?
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
and ten thousand at your right hand;
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes,
and see the recompense of the wicked.
9 Because you have made Yahweh your refuge,
and the Most High your dwelling place,
10 no evil shall happen to you,
neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
Then it looks like there has never been such a person. Ever.
11 For he will put his angels in charge of you,
to guard you in all your ways.
12 They will bear you up in their hands,
so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone.
He would even protect you against that? Wow. So impressed here.
13 You will tread on the lion and cobra.
You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.
That’s not nice. They are only trying to make a living. Why can’t they just be left alone instead of hurt?
14 “Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him.
I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him.
I will be with him in trouble.
Ah, but Gawd is supposed to be all powerful. Why does he let anyone he loves even come close to having trouble? Isn’t keeping you away from harm within his power?
I will deliver him, and honor him.
And again, delivering is only after the fact. He failed to protect. Saving is saving, not protecting in the manner he could if what is purported, is actually true of him.
16 I will satisfy him with long life,
What do you call long life? Humans have done extraordinarily well at extending life from what it was in your time. For it to be anything noticeably different, it would need to be one hell of a lot longer. Not seeing it dude.
and show him my salvation.”
Yeah well, you’re failing. Have failed. Are failing. Never will do anything but fail. As much as your believers may wish it, you’ll never be a real boy Pinocchio.
