Community standards should go up, not down!

Just about all societies ills stem from the same problem that has befallen societies throughout history.  They have succumbed to the normalisation of things that should have been stopped before they even got started.  I’m all for freedom and progress, but there are some things that should not be allowed to fall by the wayside in the name of “I’ll do what I want”.

Freedom of expression is a good thing, but it should be something that is earned like respect.  It’s not be something that you should have from the day you are born.  More freedom as you get older and are able to handle that freedom sounds like a much better deal than kids wandering around telling their parents that they will do as they please.  Should children have the right to express themselves to the point of abusing their parents whenever they try to get them to behave?

We have allowed our children to get out of hand.  Try walking down the main street nearly anywhere without hearing the most foul language possible from the mouths of minors.  But go and do just that in ‘posh’ suburb and you are quite likely to wind up in court.  Double standards much?

The bleeding hearts that say you shouldn’t smack your children have it so that parents are so afraid to discipline their children that the children are now beating up their parents.  Respect for one’s parents is dying very quickly.

Try riding a train and having the peace and quiet to read a book or the mornings paper without having to put up with the music from some idiots mp3 playing phone.

Get a copy of the road rules and look up what the rules are for roundabouts and then take a chair and sit near one and watch just how many people have no idea how they should work.  It’s become a free for all that is now spilling over onto other intersections.  Very little respect for others on the roads anymore.

It’s so much fun to get caught by that red light just in time to have some dickhead pull up beside you with his or her music blaring so loud they couldn’t hear an ambulance siren if it was sitting right behind them.  The thumping base must be doing a great amount of damage to their hearing and yet they couldn’t care less.  Why are sound systems of this power legal in cars?

There are rules about smoking within a certain distance of exits from buildings but when was the last time you saw anyone actually walk outside that area before lighting up?  And then they probably don’t keep going afterwards.  Just last week at our local hospital, visitors standing right next to the sign that plainly says ‘no smoking within the marked zone’ and yes, the zone is marked quite clearly with bright yellow lines.

I used to think it was quite disgusting to see people spitting into the gutter, but that’s nothing to having people just spit right on the path in front of them oblivious to other people around them

Roadside advertising signs are another problem these days.  They can be informative, but it should be kept to a minimum so drivers attention isn’t being diverted for lengthy periods of time.  What is worse are the explicit lingerie adverts or others that show scantily clad girls advertising something that has nothing to do with what is depicted.  How many accidents are caused by these advertisements taking drivers attention away from the road?  It’s not just the danger.  How about the blatant advertisement of such things to children?  You couldn’t legally put that stuff in a children’s magazine, so why is it where they can see it day after day? No respect for parents wishes.

I drive past a school a few days ago only to see a parent getting a small child out of a car that has emblazoned across the rear window the following: Caring Understanding Nineties Type.  I don’t know about you, but when did it become acceptable to throw that in our kids faces right out in front of a school?  If I choose not to have that become a part of my children’s upbringing, it seems that society is now telling me I don’t have that right.

The big movable signs that roadworkers use to inform you of roadworks and detours are now being used by businesses to advertise sales.  We take our attention away from the road to see what may be important only to find there is a sale on mattresses.

Just because there aren’t specific laws to stop most of this behaviour, doesn’t mean that it should just be shrugged off and allowed to continue.

Are we now at the stage that the ‘lowest common denominator‘ is the major stockholder in our collective futures?  If I said that we are now living with anarchy, I’d be wrong, but if I said that we are well on the road to such a situation I’d be right.  Somewhere between now and then, there is a line that will be crossed.  Do we cross that line and then be unable to retrieve the situation or do we hold that line and save some kind of community standards for future generations to live by?

WHICH WORLD DO YOU WANT TO LIVE IN?

    Anti Vaccination Nutjobs

I apologise up front if this article is a disconnected rant, but I’m pissed off and I just have to say something.  I’m fed up with *&^%tards putting my granchildren’s lives at risk and I’m not going to keep quiet about it.  They should be locked up the next time a non vaccinated child dies in this country.

Really people, I can’t for the life of me understand how so many people can be convinced that having vaccinations is bad for their children.  We had disease out of control around the world early last century with Whooping Cough, Measles, Mumps etc killing millions of children every year around the world.  The vaccines were invented and now we have mostly eradicated the diseases in the more advanced countries and are slowly winning in the less advanced.

Just because YOU don’t see anyone with those diseases does NOT mean that they aren’t around.  Let’s take one scenario that happened just recently.  A child that had not been vaccinated was taken abroad and had come into contact with the Mumps.  Once back in the country he had contact with over 800 people of which around a third were children.  Some of those children also were not vaccinated and contracted the disease as well.  Luckily nobody died, but that is more good luck than good management.  The thing is that it need never have happened if those children were vaccinated when they should have been.

The part that is really worrying health authorities is that there are morons out there promoting non vaccination of children and it’s catching on because YOU are believing them.  The more that don’t vaccinate, the more chance of an outbreak and deaths of innocent children.  These kids should not be being put in the firing line just so some idiots can flex their ‘freedom of speech’ muscles and show how great they are.  It’s nothing but a freaking power trip and it’s getting out of hand.  It’s not just their own children they are putting at risk, but the children of other parents who have sided with them and not had their kids vaccinated.  To make matter worse it will be even worse for those parents with children too young to have had the vaccines or have not finished the course.  Those parents are doing the right thing and yet they may still lose their children because of these unthinking, uncaring, power hungry bastards.

Only just last night, 1st June 2010, in Perth WA a seminar was held promoting non-vaccination of children.  The complete lunacy these people spew forth is mind boggling.  Their ‘sky is falling’ mentality is going to cost lives and they should be held accountable for them.  I’m so fed up with the ‘freedom of speech’ crap that is allowing them to get away with it every damn day.  There has to be a way of stopping this and as nobody wants to curtail freedom of speech, I would recommend that the vaccines be made compulsory and then they can say what they bloody like.

Would you really believe someone who told you the HIV/AIDS virus has never been seen?

Would you believe someone telling you the mercury in the vaccines will kill you?  It isn’t in all of them and you’d get more from a small can of tuna anyway.

Would you believe them if they told you the government was making the diseases themselves just to force the vaccines on you?

Would you believe someone who told you the medical professionals themselves don’t even vaccinate their children?

They are lying to you.  Educate yourselves and look after your children.  Research it and you will see the truth for yourselves.  Go to your doctor and ask.  Go to your local Health Centre and ask.  Ring the Health Department and ask.

Their ‘God’ is ex Dr Andrew Wakefield who was just struck off the Medical Register for his wacky theories and practices.  I beg you, don’t listen to these people.  They may claim to be informed, but that is only with false information.  They make it sound plausible by showing graphs and studies done by people who don’t even have a clue what they are doing.  The cherry picking of information to make their stance sound better has been shown over and over again.  THEY CAN’T BE TRUSTED and they will put your children’s lives at risk.  If I hear the words ‘Big Pharma’ one more time I’m going to scream.

    PLEASE VACCINATE YOUR CHILDREN

You just HAVE to love the Bible.

Cattle – Have as many as you can get and be ready to sell or sacrifice as Gods needs dictate.

Children – Keep the little ones away from atheists as they want to eat them. How can you sacrifice them after that?  Silly atheists.

Clear thinking – If the bible is telling you what to think it is ok to think that, but let’s be clear, you shouldn’t be thinking other stuff, because it’s harmful to your chances of gaining entry into heaven.  Stay clear.

Courage – Fighting for something even if you don’t believe in it is courageous, because it takes courage to just do as you are told and not think for yourself and do what you would normally think is right.  That is why we have ‘clear thinking’ isn’t it?

Education – You already have it.  It’s simple.  Love God and do as he says.

Fairness – It doesn’t matter what’s fair.  If the bible tells you to kill the whole village including the children and cattle, you do it.  You get to live and he gets to die.  That’s balance.

Family – Have more children even if it costs you your life because God needs more followers, but be prepared to sacrifice a couple in Gods  honour.

    Goats – See Wives.

Hate – Gods enemies are your enemies.

Honesty – Tell the truth when you go to confession, even if you lied earlier.  It’s only really needed then anyway.  If you are honest all the time you would have less to confess.

Love – Just so long as it’s God you love.  If you are loving anybody else, you aren’t giving enough love to God.

Love of the truth – Hey, love it all you want, but only if it’s the truth the bible gives you.  All other truths are lies.

    Wives – As per cattle.

Work – Work as hard as you can so you can give it to God because you don’t need as much as he does because he needs Crystal Palaces and Mega Churches and Crosses and Statues and Fonts and Pews and Steeples and Altars and Apses and Rectories and Retreats and Basilicas and Wafers and Wine and Incense and Funny Dresses and Funny Hats and Funny Ball shaped thingies to burn the incense in and swing around while you sing and worship him and wear out the knees in the only pair of pants you own because you gave all your money to the church so that he may be praised in a better manner so that even more people can know his greatness which is all powerful and all knowing and merciful even if a few children are sacrificed and their mothers are left crying which is ok because the work and bearing of more children will take their minds off it while their husbands are out tilling the fields to grow more crops to make more money to give to God so that his followers can preach the evils of condoms that kill people when they stop them getting aids/hiv and then they can see the greatness of a God that has allowed them to die even though they were saved from the sin of using that condom against the wishes of men in funny hats that know the will of God and want everyone to love Him and only Him except when they want to love little boys that weren’t sacrificed to make his greatness even greater so that he could show his love to all men by killing those not of his chosen people that were not the only ones he created because if they were He’d have nobody to kill to show his chosen that they are his chosen and then they would be confused and not know they were the chosen because there were no ‘not chosen’ people around to slaughter in His name and be thrown into a pile and burnt while they danced and lauded praise upon God for being so loving that he saved the not chosen for the purpose of slaying so they could have a party and dance and sing as long as it was only for the purpose of praising him because dancing and singing for any other reason is a sin and you could be punished by his other followers and they would have to whip you and beat you and stone you till you died because you had done things he allowed you to do because he is so infinitely wise and loving and merciful that he knows you couldn’t be happy in this life without the free will to choose your own actions even if you knew that by doing so you would be killed by pious people that also had free will not to kill you but would still do so because you were a filthy sinner and it would be an insult to God to do otherwise even if they had done the same thing and had not been found out because they were sneakier than you were and that just proves that to love God you have to punish people even when you don’t agree that the crime was a just one but as long as it is God’s will it still needs to be punished and you are willing to mete out said punishment because Jesus died for your sins and so others have to die for theirs so that they are showing gratitude that God cut himself in half and made the other half into his own son that he sent down to earth to do things he knew would piss people off and cause them to torture and kill him and put him in a cave so that he could then miraculously come back to life and show that even Zombies are good and kind and need to be respected and have idols made of them so that really superstitious people made signs in the air with their hands and fingers that could protect them from the evils in the world that God created so that people had bad things to do so that other people could fight them in his name and make the world a better place so that even more people could worship him by going to church and confession and confessing that they murdered a child because they were disrespectful which was ok because it must have been God’s will that they kill them and confess so that their immortal soul could be saved and go to Heaven and sit with God for eternity because that is what any right thinking individual would do.  So there.

    HERE ENDETH TODAY’S LESSON

    Australian Education Website – Fail

I wonder who it was in Government that had a brain fart the size of Ayer’s Rock that totally went unnoticed by every other rational human being in their department?  Check the following link and then come back and finish reading.

    http://www.myschool.edu.au/

How would any sane thinking person get the idea to compare schools publicly in this manner?  Have they lost the ability to predict the outcome of this kind of comparison? You still don’t get it?  Ok, we’ll start at the beginning.

In this country you have choices, luckily for us.  Unfortunately that doesn’t apply everywhere on this planet.  But if you wish to send you child to a private school here (that is of course if you can afford it, most can’t) the choice of which school is entirely up to you.  If you wish to send your child to a public school then the choice is not quite up to you.  You need a good reason to send your child to a school further away than the nearest school to your residential address.

So, you’re poorer than some and can’t afford Private School tuition fees.  You happen to live in an area where the schools aren’t very high up the rank and your kid has no good reason (like being kicked out of your local school) to change schools. We all know how badly children of all ages can behave toward each other if given a weapon, even a verbal one, to use against a peer. What about after they have finished their schooling? How many of our kids are out there now unable to find work due to prospective employers looking at which school they were at and how far up or down the ranking it is?

If you think for one second that I’m just being paranoid I suggest you watch this video and get even more of the facts from someone who has seen it all happen.  I’ve only scratched the surface.

EDUCATION IS ABOUT EDUCATION, NOT COMPETITION
